England Women boss Sarina Wiegman sat down with the press today ahead of the Lionesses second meeting with Belgium in the Women's Nations League.
After a scintillating performance that saw Wiegman's outfit smash the Red Flames by a 5-0 scoreline, England will unfortunately have two key members unavailable to them.
Both Alessia Russo and Lauren James will miss out due to injury, with the star pair having since been replaced by Michelle Agyemang and Jess Naz respectively.
Wiegman, however, could only offer a brief update on their status.
"LJ picked up a hamstring injury so she will be assessed at her club but of course not available for Tuesday," she said.
"The same with Alessia, so she had to go back to her club too and she’ll be assessed there and hopefully they’ll be back soon."
Wiegman is no doubt excited about their replacements, too.
"Jess Naz came in and Michelle came in and of course Jess has been in our environment and of course she knows, so that’s nice. She trained well."
“And for Michelle, it’s the first time [England inclusion]."
"She was at St George’s Park before, of course, because they qualified for the Euros with the U19s. She’s very excited and she showed up straight away in the training session today.”
Could Agyemang look ahead to a senior debut away from home?
