Why Thomas Tuchel thinks he will get money to spend this summer from Todd Boehly | OneFootball

Thomas Tuchel has been speaking to the Chelsea official website after the defeat in the FA Cup semi final, and he had some interesting words that will get plenty of Chelsea fans excited for what could be a big summer.

There are still two games to play in the Premier League of course, but with their position all but secure, Chelsea and their management team will already be thinking about the summer.

Discussing his first meeting with the club’s new owner Todd Boehly, the Tuchel revealed why he thought Chelsea were set to splash the cash this summer:

“[Boehly] paid some [serious] money so I don’t think he’s keen to drop the ambition. That would be a big surprise. I am sure that he is ambitious to build a competitive Chelsea for the highest level,” the Chelsea boss said in quotes on the club’s official website.

We agree with the boss’ logic. Boehly hasn’t spent so much on the club just to keep it where it is – he’s going to pump more money in to keep Chelsea at the top – and potentially even take them to the next level.
