An insight into the mounting concerns at La Liga giants Real Madrid ahead of today’s Champions League quarter-final draw has come to the fore online.

The info comes courtesy of Diario Sport, and points towards Real’s recent form as having sparked internal fears when it comes to their capacity to go all the way in Europe this season.

Prior to last weekend’s drubbing of Celta Vigo, Carlo Ancelotti’s troops had managed just a solitary win in four, and were frankly lucky to send German outfit RB Leipzig packing in the Champions League’s Round-of-16.

As much, it is understood, has culminated in uncharacteristic doubts both in the playing squad, and behind the scenes at the Santiago Bernabéu.

All associated with Los Blancos, as a result, will be keeping a watchful eye on Friday’s draw for the Champions League’s last eight.

Should they be drawn against the likes of Borussia Dortmund or perhaps even Clásico rivals Barcelona, Real will breathe a sigh of relief.

On the other hand, Sport point towards the capital giants as being desperate to avoid the likes of Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain, and even city rivals Atlético Madrid next time out in Europe.
