Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick was left seething with the linesman in the club’s meeting with RCD Mallorca on Tuesday.
That’s according to Diario Sport, who point towards as much as having come owing to repeated offside calls, more specifically their delayed flagging.
Barcelona’s offside trap was in full effect at Son Moix last night, the Blaugrana having caught Mallorca’s players in offside positions on no fewer than 11 occasions.
Along the way, however, play was allowed to continue on a number of occasions, before the linesman ultimately raised his flag upon the hosts’ players reaching the ball.
And, as per Sport, this left Hansi Flick furious on the touchline.
Increasingly aware of the added strain put on his defenders in being forced to sprint back in the midst of clear offside sequences, the usually composed German lost his cool time and time again:
‘His main target yesterday had a name and surname: Ángel Nevado Rodríguez,’ it is added.
Whilst Nevado Rodríguez was simply doing his job as per the rules of the game at present, Flick could not help but make clear his anger with the linesman, repeatedly ‘gesticulating and making a fuss’.
Ultimately, it mattered little, though, as Barcelona ran out 5-1 victors at Son Moix.
