Paul Pogba is a free agent this summer, and will be leaving Manchester United.

So far the links have been to the usual European powers, but Louis Saha has an intriguing proposal – teaming him up with N’Golo Kante.

The pair match up perfectly for France, and won the last World Cup as a duo in the centre of midfield. In theory, it’s a great idea to team them up at club level too.

Kante has had a very inconsistent season for Chelsea, playing well when he’s on the field but ultimately unable to get out there often enough to really be at his best.

“We always try to compare what he does with France and United and the ability of Kante makes Pogba play to another dimension and that’s the truth. Only Pogba can indicate where he wants to go, I’m just sad he hasn’t fulfilled his dream,” the former Fulham and Man U striker mused in quotes picked up by Football.London.

We don’t think it’s realistic at all – on the other hand, why not? He’s a brilliant player, Thomas Tuchel could probably get the best out of him, and as Saha says, we’ve all seen what he can do alongside Kante…

Is it as crazy as it sounds?
