Juventus are still keen on negotiating a deal with Manchester United for former Bologna striker Joshua Zirkzee, but the recent appointment of Ruben Amorim at Old Trafford puts the move at risk according to recent reports in Italy.
Juventus are on the lookout for a new forward in January to compete with Dusan Vlahovic, and reports over the last few weeks have suggested that a loan deal for Zirkzee is the ideal option for the Bianconeri.
Zirkzee was signed by Manchester United from Bologna over the summer in a deal upwards of €53m, but has not enjoyed the easiest of starts to life in the Premier League.
The Netherlands international scored on his league debut for the Red Devils, but then went 12 appearances with only one goal to his name.

That was until the weekend just gone, when Zirkzee netted twice in an eventual 4-0 win over Everton in the Premier League, playing in a supporting role behind Marcus Rashford, the centre-forward, a position that could get the best out of the Dutchman moving forwards.
Though Amorim is only two league matches into his Manchester United career, there is already growing confidence that he will be able to get the best out of Zirkzee in a Manchester United shirt, which could harm Juventus’s hopes of signing him on loan as early as January.
According to reports from Calciomercato.com, there had been a sort of gentleman’s agreement between Juventus’s sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli and Zirkzee’s agent Kia Joorabchian, that if the player were to leave Manchester in the coming weeks, he would sign for Juventus.
However, with renewed faith in the 23-year-old, who was recently named in the AIC’s Serie A team of the season, means that a move to Juventus in January could be at risk.
