Borussia Dortmund passed on signing Manchester City whiz Ferran Torres after negative scouting reports, it has been revealed.

Having spent his entire career with Valencia, Torres left the Spanish giants for City over the summer, but not before he was seriously considered by BVB.

Indeed, the player's agent twice visited the club as negotiations were held.

However, the Bundesliga giants decided against pushing through a deal for the youngster after scouting reports branded him "not dangerous enough" when in possession, reports Sky Deutschland via Fussball Transfers.

Instead, Torres was sold by Valencia to City for a fee of €23m, signing a five-year contract to 2025 in the process.

And on November 17, Torres had some revenge as he struck a hat-trick for Spain in their 6-0 rout of Germany. With La Roja, he now has seven caps and four goals. For City this season, Torres has managed 13 appearances, scoring an impressive five goals and producing two assists.
