Championship trio Bristol City, Reading and Sheffield United are all monitoring Arouca goalkeeper Victor Braga ahead of a potential approach in the summer, according to a report from the Daily Mail.
The 30-year-old currently plies his trade out in Portugal and competes in the nation’s top league, recording 21 competitive appearances this term as a regular starter and keeping five clean sheets in the process.
However, his side are just one point clear of danger at this stage with seven league games to play – and could experience pain regardless of whether they go down or not in the summer with Braga’s contract set to expire at that point.

According to the Daily Mail report, the Brazilian has been the subject of multiple enquiries already despite his current terms not coming to an end for another few months, potentially foreshadowing a bitter battle between the trio and other interested sides for his signature.
Born in Salvador, the shot-stopper has spent his entire playing career in Brazil and Portugal, but only made his first notable appearance in the game during the 2015/16 campaign when he made his debut in the Portuguese top tier with Moreirense before dropping down to the second tier the following season as he was shipped out on a loan spell to Famalicao.
He played regularly in the second tier on this temporary spell, but was forced to drop down to the third division with Freamunde (loan) and Espinho (permanent) before making the sideways move to current side Arouca who were competing in the same league at the time of his arrival in 2019.
But successive promotions elevated the Brazilian to the top tier of Portuguese football, where as mentioned, he is a regular starter and his performances have attracted Championship sides to his signature.
The 30-year-old hasn’t participated in eight of Arouca’s league games this season, one of which was due to a suspension, but he now looks to have regained his starting spot between the sticks and barring an injury or a further ban, he doesn’t look set to be dropped anytime soon.
Nonetheless, he hasn’t been able to keep a clean sheet in his last seven league matches, something he will be desperate to rectify in his team’s quest for survival.
