The capture of Daryl Dike will give them an added dimension going into the second half of the season.

However, the Baggies reportedly aren’t done there when it comes to adding fire power up front to their side.

The latest reports have suggested that the club are looking to bring in Vedat Muriqi from Italian outfit Lazio.

Here, we bring the low down on the Kosovo international…

The striker has failed to make an impression on new manager Maurizio Sarri, appearing only 11 times for the club in Serie A this season, with 10 of those coming from the bench.

Muriqi has also featured for Fenerbahce, and several other smaller-name Turkish sides throughout his career. He began playing professionally in 2010 in Kosovo, and eventually moved to the Italian capital in 2020 under manager Simone Inzaghi.

He traditionally plays as a striker, where he scored one goal from 34 games for Lazio.

While he has been unable to make it work in Serie A, he did bag 15 goals in 32 appearances during his time at Fenerbahce. So, there is plenty of goal scoring experience there.

It is likely that he would play as Dike’s understudy, unless Valerien Ismael is willing to change the system to a two-striker formation, or else come up with a new role for one of these men in his existing style of play.

Muriqi has featured 37 times for the Kosovo national side, scoring 18 times.

The forward is known for his speed and aerial dominance. He can be quite tricky on the ball, possessing great strength, making it difficult to take it from him. He has received praise for having an all round game that is ideal for the modern centre forward.
