Orlando Pirates' radar has already reached the centre of the African continent, specifically Sudan, and talented Malian striker Adama Coulibaly is a player who has become a real target for the Buccaneers.

According to press reports, including reports from Africa Foot, Buccaneers and Tunisian giants Esperance, as well as Portuguese giants Benfica, who are looking for reinforcements for next season in all positions.

How much Orlando Pirates are willing to pay to sign him!

In the summer transfer market, South African side Orlando Pirates are actively looking to strengthen their ranks, as they prepare to carefully manage the foreigners' file in light of the local rules that allow only 5 foreign players to be registered.

According to reliable sources, the club's management has made an offer of around €600,000 for Malian striker Coulibaly, who is currently playing for Sudanese club Al Hilal since his transfer from Malian club AS Bakaridjan in 2024, with a contract that runs until 2029.

The move comes at a time when the Pirates are considering reshaping their foreigners list, with one vacancy currently available after Namibian player Dion Hutto was classified as a local player for fulfilling the five-year requirement in the South African league.

The situation is further complicated by speculation over the future of three of the current foreigners:

- Angolan Gilberto, who moved on loan to Petro de Luanda in January after limited appearances.

- Nigerian Olisa Ndah and Congolese Karim Kemfwedi, who are rumoured to be leaving for foreign clubs.

The club are also rumoured to be interested in another Malian player, Sadio Konate, emphasising their strategy of signing promising African talent. These plans could change rapidly in the coming weeks as transfer negotiations develop and the fate of existing players is clarified.
