Former Brazil international Edílson has claimed he was a better player than Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and Neymar.
Yes, Edílson.
The 2002 World Cup winner played 21 times for Brazil, scoring six goals. During his 16-year club career, he played for 18 clubs in Brazil, Japan and the United Arab Emirates.
Now 48, Edílson started three games at that World Cup and claims success that summer.
“At my best, I played better than Neymar,” he said during the week.
“He needs to win the World Cup in order to be better than me. I have personality, and for Messi to be better than me, he also has to win the World Cup.
“Cristiano Ronaldo is just strength; he strikes the ball well with both feet, but I’m more skilful than him.”
Hot damn.
We guess World Cup winners Shkodran Mustafi and Adil Rami are also better than them, then?
