Football is becoming a rich man’s game.
Sponsorships, brand deals, transfer fees – everything is spiralling out of control.
So which clubs pay their players the most in wages? Thanks to Sport Intelligence, we’ve got the information!
Barcelona – on average – pay their players a ridiculous £9.8m per year, while Arsenal in 10th place pay £4.8m per year.
Some other interesting ones to note: Liverpool!
The Anfield outfit are proving that sensible scouting and a top level manager can bridge this insane gap, with their players being paid on average £5.5m per year.
Juventus are also an interesting case study sitting in third place on £8m per year, with free transfers and of course, Cristiano Ronaldo likely inflating their figures.
