Which teams conceded fewest shots in the EFL...?

The old adage goes that 'if you don't shoot, you don't score', but the champions of each EFL division flipped that logic on its head to record league-leading defensive stats during the 2024/25 campaign.

Unsurprisingly, it turns out that clubs who don't concede shots, don't concede goals - and Championship winners Leeds, League One champs Birmingham and League Two victors Doncaster all conceded fewer shots-per-game than any other teams in their respective divisions.

Explosive at the sharp end of the pitch, Daniel Farke's Leeds were also the most miserly when it came to the number of shots they shipped per game - the Whites only yielding 6.7 on average in the league in 2024/25.

It's a mightily impressive stat that even puts Scott Parker's shutout specialists at Burnley in the shade, as the Clarets conceded 9.4 shots a game on average, though that didn't stop them from racking up an incredible 30 clean sheets.

In League One, runaway winners Birmingham limited their opponents to 7.6 shots per game on average, while Grant McCann's Doncaster gave up just nine in a typical League Two game.
