Six Milan youngsters trained with the first team group this week after Paulo Fonseca said that he would have no issue in fielding players from either the Futuro or Primavera sides to replace some of his senior players.
Following Milan’s 2-1 win over Crvena Zvezda in the Champions League on Wednesday night, Fonseca said that some of his players did not ‘give everything for the shirt’ and that he would have no issue in playing some of the club’s youngsters if the situation does not improve.
True to his word, there were six players usually based with the Milan Futuro side promoted to training with the first team this week according to reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport.
Two of them are candidates to play at left-back as possible replacements for Theo Hernandez.
Alex Jimenez and Davide Bartesaghi, 19 and 18 years old respectively, are both pushing to get minutes against Genoa on Wednesday, but Fonseca has usually opted to play with Filippo Terracciano in the Frenchman’s absence so far this season.

There were also a handful of midfielders called up to train with the first team in the second part of this week.
Netherlands U19 international and former Ajax midfielder Silvano Vos was among them. He was signed in the summer, intended to play with the Milan Futuro side initially, but with plans to eventually break into the first team.
19-year-old Demirel Hodzic was also spotted in training with the first team group on Friday. He also joined Milan this summer in a deal from Bologna.
17-year-old Azzurrini talent Mattia Liberali, who usually operates in an advanced midfield role, was also in and around the first team group in Friday’s training session.

19-year-old winger Chaka Traore, who has already scored in Serie A for the first team, was also in training ahead of Milan’s game against Genoa.
