Ever since Coventry City signed Isaias from Benfica in 1995, Brazil has provided some of the finest players in the history of the Premier League.

The forward did not make a long-lasting impact with the Sky Blues during his two-year spell at the club, but significant portion of the 100 others from the South American country have set English football alight.

Who could forget Juninho at Middlesbrough? How many better centre-backs have there been in the division than Thiago Silva? So many Brazilian stars have left their mark, and plenty more will surely do the same in the future.

Six of the current top ten still play in England, so there is every chance this ranking could look different in the years to come.

The top-ranked player of that quintet is Roberto Firmino, while Ederson, Philippe Coutinho, Richarlison and Gabriel Jesus all ply their trade on these shores.

Also included are Fernandinho, Lucas Leiva, David LuizFulham winger Willian, who sits at the very top.

What are Willian’s Premier League stats?

Willian, who is best known for his spell at Chelsea, but also played for Arsenal and now turns out for the Cottagers, has so far made 269 Premier League appearances and is likely to add to that number in the near future.

He has 39 goals and as many assists during that time, winning 153 of the matches he has featured in and losing just over a third as many.

The 34-year-old likes a free-kick, finding the back of the net from such situations on five separate occasions, while he has received just one red card during his Premier League career.

How many Premier League titles has Willian won?

Willian has two Premier League winner’s medals to his name. He made the move to Stamford Bridge in 2013 and, within 24 months, Chelsea clinched the league title.

That campaign, Willian made 36 league appearances, just two more than during 2016/17, when the Blues again finished at the top of the Premier League standings.

While Arsenal may be flying this season, they were nowhere near the summit of the division during Willian’s only season at the Emirates Stadium in 2020/21.
