An insight into the plans of the powers that be at La Liga giants Barcelona to present the club’s new head coach has on Friday been forthcoming.
As much, of course, comes amid what has proven another headline-grabbing day behind the scenes in Catalunya’s capital.
After a week packed with speculation surrounding the situation on the club’s bench, Barcelona, this afternoon, made official the dismissal of beloved headmaster Xavi.
The Spaniard will take charge of his final game on the Blaugrana bench on Sunday, against Sevilla.
Widespread confirmation has since followed that Xavi is set to be replaced in the Camp Nou dugout by Hansi Flick, a long-time favourite of Barca president Joan Laporta.
Just when, though, will the German be unveiled?
An insight into as much has been provided by Mundo Deportivo, who point towards an announcement regarding Flick’s appointment being pencilled in for Monday.
From here, ‘everything indicates’ that Flick will be presented for the club’s fans 24 hours on, on Tuesday.
