We’ve reached day 10 of the World Cup and the games just keep coming thick and fast.

Friday spoiled us with yet another absorbing day of action, and here’s how it all unfolded.

So yesterday, I was really busy trying to calculate the length of a piece of string. Can you tell me what I missed?

Well Brazil left it late to get their first win of the tournament when stoppage time goals from Philippe Coutinho and Neymar gave them a hard fought 2-0 victory over Costa Rica.

Nigeria did Argentina a massive favour by beating Iceland 2-0 in Volgograd thanks to a brace from Leicester City man Ahmed Musa.

And Switzerland put a huge dent in Serbia’s hopes of progressing from Group E when they came from behind to win 2-1, with Xherdan Shaqiri netting a spectacular late winner.

OK. Sounds interesting. If you had to pick a best moment though, what would you go for?

Musa’s first goal against Iceland was one of the goals of the tournament so far. Brilliant control, great technique and a stonking finish.

Unfortunately, we can’t show you footage of it here, so you’ll just have to take our word for it.

This lovely piece of Neymar trickery wasn’t bad either.

Did anyone say anything interesting yesterday?

Granit Xhaka – whose parents are Albanian – certainly enjoyed the political significance of his goal against Serbia.

“The world might not know the story, but ask any Albanian,” said the Arsenal midfielder after the match.

“This is history being made. A team that’s not even at the World Cup scored today, not once, but twice. Serbia one, Albania two!”

You know what? I am sick of football. What else could I be watching today?

Apparently Rory McIlroy is three shots off the lead in the Travelers Championship in Connecticut. Whatever the hell that means.
