MK Dons boss Scott Lindsey has laid out what he expects from Arsenal Under-21s in the EFL Trophy and is anticipating a good game.
Lindsey’s men are due to play host to Arsenal’s Under-21 side this evening as they look to get points on the board in Southern Group E.
MK Dons lost their EFL Trophy opener away at Colchester United, while Arsenal’s Under-21s visited Leyton Orient and came away with a 2-1 win.
The young Gunners could be a tough test for MK Dons and Lindsey is expecting to see them play in a technical way.
He insists that both sides will want the ball tonight and as such, the game should be easy on the eye.
“It’s not difficult [to get information on Under-21s players], you can always find footage on them and bits and pieces on them”, Lindsey told MK Dons’ media.
“What we will know is that they will be technical, they will want the ball, they will want to pass the ball.
“With the way our style is it should make for a good game.”
Lindsey is expected to make changes to his side tonight as he bids to give fringe players an opportunity to make an impact.
MK Dons conceded a last gasp goal at the weekend to draw 1-1 with Tranmere Rovers, while Arsenal Under-21s’ last clash, in the Premier League 2, resulted in a 5-2 loss to Tottenham Hotspur.
