Napoli only have Serie A to play for, but Antonio Conte will be looking for a potential replacement for the injured Alessandro Buongiorno in January.
The Italian defender suffered a tricky vertebral fracture in December and has been ruled out for circa 45 days. This means Conte and Napoli will seek a solid replacement for Buongiorno in the January transfer window.
Several sources in Italy claim Juventus’ Danilo is a primary target for Conte and the Partenopei, but the Brazilian defender has already announced that he wants to remain at the Allianz Stadium until the end of his contract in June.
Arsenal’s Jakub Kiwior is also being monitored by Napoli, but the Gunners are uninterested in a loan deal with an option to buy.

This could force the Partenopei to propose a permanent transfer or a loan with an obligation to buy at the end of the season.
Even if Napoli don’t play in European competitions this season and have been eliminated from Coppa Italia, Conte expects reinforcements in January and in the summer.
Several players who are not getting regular playing time, such as Giovanni Simeone and Giacomo Raspadori, have attracted interest from other Serie A clubs.
If one of them leaves, Napoli will also search for a new striker.
Raspadori has emerged as a potential target for Juventus, which could pave the way for a swap deal with Danilo.
