Bursting onto the scene at Derby County midway through last season, Malcolm Ebiowei looked a real bright talent.

So much so that the young winger started the club’s last 11 matches of the Championship season, taking his total tally for the campaign to 16.

However, unfortunately for Derby, as with many of their other young prospects in recent times, with his contract expiring, Crystal Palace swooped, with Ebiowei going on to agree a reported five year deal at Selhurst Park.

Ebiowei is even said to have snubbed Manchester United to sign for the Eagles.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, though, the move has not yet yielded much game time for the 19-year-old.

To date, Ebiowei has featured just five times for Crystal Palace so far this season, with none of these coming from the start, and the longest appearance being 15 minutes.

In recent days, though, rumours have begun to swirl that he could potentially be seeing plenty more game time in the near future, elsewhere.

Journalist Alan Nixon has recently claimed that Sheffield Wednesday are one of the sides potentially interested in a deal for the young winger come January.

Quiz: What shirt number are these 25 current Sheffield Wednesday players?

Nixon, too, credits Derby County with an interest in their former player.

Whilst the above is the latest update regarding the talented youngster, they are not the only clubs interested in a move for him.

As per a recent report, Championship side Hull City are another club with a keen interest in potentially taking the 19-year-old on loan for the remainder of the campaign.

That move would of course see new Hull boss Liam Rosenior reunite with Ebiowei having been the assistant at Derby under Wayne Rooney when he broke into their first team.

Indeed, Rosenior is said to be targeting the teenager to help fire his Hull side up the Championship standings, with the Tigers currently 2oth in the division.

Whether or not Palace are willing to loan Ebiowei out to League One remains to be seen given that he does have that experience of playing for Derby in the Championship.

Indeed, if regular game time is on offer at the MKM Stadium, it could be that move that Palace prefer.
