Tottenham Hotspur target Pedro Neto is now expected to leave Wolves in the summer transfer window, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Ange Postecoglou got to scout the Portuguese winger first hand on the weekend as the 23-year-old was able to help Gary O’Neil’s side to all three points.

And it now seems as if the forward will be set to depart Molineux in the summer for a new adventure on the back of a seriously impressive 2023/24 term.

Tottenham eyeing Neto

It has been suggested in recent weeks that Spurs Neto is a player who is on the radar of those at Hotspur Way ahead of the summer.

The additions of forwards has been something which Postecoglou has brought to north London with both Brennan Johnson and Timo Werner added since his arrival.

Now, speaking on his YouTube channel, transfer guru Romano has claimed the player is expected to be on the move this summer: ‘Keep an eye on him for the summer because I know that [Gary] O’Neil, the manager of Wolves, in the past few days discussed the possibility of Pedro Neto. He mentioned the possibility of Pedro staying at Wolves in the summer, not guaranteeing the possibility of Pedro leaving.

‘But, from what I’m hearing guys, it’s very likely to see Pedro Neto leaving in the summer transfer window. There will be important clubs on it. His agent is already in contact with some clubs, so I can’t mention the clubs yet. But for sure, the appreciation of clubs like Arsenal and Tottenham is clear since long time.’

Neto expected to move in summer

The Portuguese winger’s performance on the weekend showed everyone just why Neto is being tipped for a big move in the summer.

His solo run from his own half saw Joao Gomes provided with the ball on a plate to score his second of the afternoon.

And even saw former England goalkeeper David Seaman hail the 23-year-old as ‘special’ on his Seaman Says podcast.

Speaking after the game at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Neto’s manager Gary O’Neil spoke about his desire to keep his star player in the summer.

This is a player who now nine assists in the Premier League this season, as well as two goals.

Perhaps there is room for improvement in front of goal having only returned two goals in the league this season, which does not compare to the likes of Heung-min Son.

Romano did mention potential interest from Arsenal, which may be a slight concern given the player has already admitted he grew up as an Arsenal fan as a kid.

However, hopefully he may see Tottenham as a place where he could nail down a spot in the starting XI for years to come under Postecoglou.

We have already beaten some huge clubs to signings in recent months, so there’s no reason we can’t win the race for Neto.
