EXCLUSIVE! Antonio Conte wants ANOTHER Chelsea player as well as Romelu Lukaku – could be key for Victor Osimhen to Chelsea! 👀

And then there is another category that you can perhaps put in the middle of the above two – players who are currently involved in the first team squad but it is not yet clear whether they will stay involved in the first team squad for the remainder of the season or whether he will go out on loan to get regular first team minutes and development.

Striker Marc Guiu is in that category. He has done well in pre-season so far and has staked a claim for a first team spot. However, if Chelsea do sign a new striker which is what has been rumoured all summer, then you’d expect Guiu to go.

Guiu ready for the PL

He’s been asked about his future and whether he will go on loan or whether he is ready for the Premier League now.

Guiu replied:

“I’m just focused on the pre-season tour, doing my best and that’s what I can say.

“But [Chelsea head coach Enzo] Maresca told me there was an amazing sporting project full of young talent, that he wanted me to be a part of it and that he had a lot of faith in me and my skills and capabilities.

“I think I’m ready. We work very hard every day both on and off the pitch, on the physical aspect and the practical. So I think I’m ready to be on the pitch and help the team when I’m needed.”
