Diego Costa appears to have accused Antoine Griezmann of siding with Samuel Umtiti in an argument which took place during Saturday night’s big LaLiga clash.

Costa thought he’d sealed the three points for Atlético when he scored in the 77th minute, but his goal was cancelled out by a late Ousmane Dembélé equaliser.

Earlier in the match, the fiery Spanish international striker had got himself involved in an altercation with Barcelona’s Umtiti, and Griezmann appeared to be trying to calm the situation down.

But Costa seemed to take exception to Griezmann’s interjection, and his anger soon switched from his opponent to his own team-mate.

Eagle-eyed, Spanish-speaking viewers of the footage say that was exactly Costa’s issue, and he was angrily reminding Griezmann “I’m your team-mate, not him” over and over again.

Griezmann and Umtiti are of course international colleagues, but Costa perhaps quite rightly believes that those kind of allegiances should be left at the door when it comes to club matters.

But it was Griezmann who assisted Costa for his goal, and the pair’s celebration together suggested their little tiff didn’t last long.
