Chris Sutton has slammed Brentford striker Neal Maupay after his antics at Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday evening.
The Bees striker riled Spurs’ players up last night after re-creating James Maddison’s celebration following his early opener.
Maupay was then involved in several incidents where he clashed with Tottenham players, including Maddison after his 15th-minute effort.

Spurs players appeared to mock Maupay after they raced into a 3-1 lead, with the likes of Brennan Johnson and Richarlison both copying Maddison’s celebration following their goals.
The clash between Maddison and Maupay didn’t end on the pitch, with the Spurs midfielder taking aim at the Bees striker after the game.
He said: “I just said to him he probably hasn’t scored enough goals of his own over the last few years to have his own celebration so you probably have to copy mine. A short story – it ended well for us.”
It led to Maupay responding on social media as he wrote: “Gutted we couldn’t get the win. More goals and less relegations in my career than James Maddison.”
Now, Chris Sutton has slammed Maupay after he clashed with Maddison on and off the pitch on Wednesday evening.
“Neal Maupay couldn’t lace James Maddison’s boots,” Sutton told It’s All Kicking Off. “What is he doing? What an idiot.
“Everybody knows Maddison is 10x the player Neal Maupay is. Why he did it, I don’t know.
“You can say it is a bit mischievous but it was foolish. Maddison is Waitrose. Maupay is Lidl.”

Brutal from Sutton. But you have to admit he makes a great point. Maupay has been known to wind opposition players up but it’s unclear why he targeted Maddison last night.
Spurs were well off the pace after Brentford’s opener in the first half and Maupay’s antics seemed to be getting to Postecoglou’s men.
But a couple of changes at the break inspired a comeback and Tottenham’s players were sure to remind Maupay of his earlier antics.
Richarlison was spotted screaming in the striker’s face after Destiny Udogie’s leveller.
It’s certainly intriguing to see a bit of needle in games from time to time but Postecoglou certainly wasn’t a fan.
The Aussie told his and Brentford’s players they should ‘get into a UFC cage’ if they are ‘brave’ and felt Spurs were ‘sucked in’ during the opening period.
