West Ham’s top four hopes were dented after they drew 1-1 with Brighton at the Amex Stadium after two goals in a frantic last ten minutes.

In a game of few chances Jesse Lingard arguably had the Hammer’s best opening when he was picked out by Aaron Cresswell in the box before having his shot cleared off the line.

Alireza Jahanbakhsh went close for the hosts when he rounded Łukasz Fabiański before hitting a shot from a tight angle which flashed across goal.

Craig Dawson almost put the visitors in front ten minutes from time but his header flashed just wide of the far post, before Welbeck ran onto Percy Tau’s through ball before delicately chipping Fabiański.

But the Hammers regrouped to at salvage a point out of the game when substitute Saïd Benrahma curled home a stunning effort from 25 yards out.

David Moyes’ side remain in sixth but are now five points behind fourth-placed Chelsea having played the same amount of games, while Graham Potter’s men are sat in 17th.

Southampton 3-1 Fulham

Scorers: Adams 27′, Tella 60′, Walcott 82′; Carvalho 75′.

Southampton have leapfrogged Crystal Palace into 13th position in the Premier League table after they eased to a 3-1 win over already-relegated Fulham at St.Mary’s.

Che Adams gave the hosts the lead inside the first half-hour when he turned home James Ward-Prowse’s whipped free-kick from close range.

Before academy prospect Nathan Tella came off the bench to score his first senior goal for the club when he tapped home from six-yards out after being picked out by Kyle Walker-Peters.

It was another first for 18-year-old Fabio Carvalho who got the Cottagers back into the game with his first strike for the club with an effort which bounced in off the bar.

But Theo Walcott rounded up the three points for Ralph Hasenhüttl’s side with a deflected effort from the edge of the box.

Burnley 0-4 Leeds United

Scorers: Klich 44′, Harrison 60′, Rodrigo 77′, 79′

Leeds United put in a brilliant display to win comfortably away at Burnley in the day’s early kick off.

Stuart Dallas had a chance to give Leeds the lead after 16 minutes, but he could only shoot over the bar at the end of a good move.

Later in the first half, Ezgjan Alioski and Raphinha both squandered good chances to score for Leeds when they were unable to hit the target.

But just before half-time, the visitors did make their dominance count when Mateusz Klich surged forward and found the bottom corner with a lovely finish from outside the box.

Burnley made a bright start to the second half and almost equalised when Matěj Vydra raced through on goal, but Leeds goalkeeper Ilan Meslier made a good save to turn the striker’s effort around the post.

A few minutes later Leeds went 2-0 up, however. A corner popped out to Alioski on the edge of the box and his miscued strike was cheekily flicked into the goal by Jack Harrison.

And with 13 minutes to go, substitute Rodrigo made it 3-0 with a great first touch followed by a cool dink over the goalkeeper.

Two minutes later the Spaniard bagged his second to make it 4-0 when he rounded Bailey Peacock-Farrell to score.
