Young West Ham attacking midfielder Daniel Chesters is reportedly close to agreeing to a new contract to stay with the Hammers.

That’s according to a report from Football Insider, who claim that the 18-year-old has wanted to stay at the club and West Ham have finally offered the player a deal.

Though the terms of his first professional deal are unknown, Chesters is currently on an expiring scholarship contract.

Chesters has been a regular with the West Ham U-18s and has also featured for the U-23s this season on 10 occasions.

In 24 games with the U-18s, the player has scored twice and supplied five assists.
