West Ham Women sign Scotland international Kirsty Smith

West Ham United have signed 28-year-old Scotland international Kirsty Smith following and end to her four-year spell at Manchester United.

The full-back told whufc.com: “I’ve had a really nice welcome from all of the players and staff and I’m excited for what’s to come at this club.

“This is a fresh start for me and I’m really looking forward to working within a new environment and being part of this team.”

Paul Konchesky commented: “I’m really pleased to be able to add Kirsty to our squad – I think it’s a fantastic signing for the football club! She adds plenty of WSL experience and straight away, you can see the talent that she has when she’s out on the training pitch.”
