Chelsea and Arsenal have been impressed with the performances of Mohammed Kudus at West Ham and are considering summer approaches for the versatile forward.

Kudus signed for West Ham from Ajax in a £38m deal last summer and has been an instant hit at the London Stadium, scoring 10 goals in 21 starts across all competitions.

Those performances have attracted admirers from across the Premier League, with London neighbours Arsenal and Chelsea keen on a deal for the 22-year-old. Chelsea were linked with a move to sign Kudus last summer, but turned their attention to Manchester City’s Cole Palmer.

However, interest remains with attacking recruits Mykhailo Mudryk and Noni Madueke have struggled to convince in west London and Kudus’ ability to perform in a number of attacking roles appeals to Mauricio Pochettino and his recruitment team.

Meanwhile, Arsenal are keen to sign a wide player to help relieve the pressure on Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka. The Gunners have also been linked with Wolves winger Pedro Neto, who is valued at £60m at Molineux.

Spanish outlet Fichajes claim Chelsea are prepared to offer €45m (£38m) to sign Kudus, though West Ham will demand a sizeable profit is made on a player who has shone in David Moyes’ team this season.

Arsenal are likely to require sales before funding a move, having spent more than £200m on new arrivals last summer.
