West Ham ‘will bid’ for £30m star at the London Stadium
Nayef Aguerd became the Hammers’ first signing of the summer when the defender completed a £30million switch from Rennes earlier this week, but boss David Moyes is keen for Broja to strengthen his options at the top end of the pitch.
What’s the latest news involving Broja?
Broja spent the entirety of last season on loan with Southampton and it was on the south coast where he caught Moyes’ eye.
The 20-year-old put West Ham to the sword by grabbing a goal and an assist against the east Londoners during his time at St Mary’s.
According to Sky Sports, the Hammers are readying a £30million bid which could see Broja swap west London for the eastern side of the capital.
The report suggests the 14-cap Albania international has been identified as West Ham’s top striker target for the remainder of the transfer window and Moyes is eager to intensify the pursuit.
However, Newcastle United are also understood to be lining up an offer, so the Europa Conference League qualifiers may have their work cut out when it comes to attempting to strike a deal.

What has Ryan Taylor said about Broja?
Taylor is adamant that West Ham will head to the negotiating table and attempt to persuade Chelsea into selling Broja.
However, the journalist doubts the Hammers will be able to get their man by tabling an offer of £30million.
Taylor told GIVEMESPORT: “There will be a bid from West Ham. They’re looking to make a move and I think the kind of money that they would be prepared to offer at the beginning would be about £30million.
“I don’t think that will be enough to entice Chelsea into a sale.”
Will Broja want to join West Ham?
Although Chelsea have sanctioned Romelu Lukaku’s loan return to Inter Milan, the likes of Kai Havertz and Timo Werner are likely to be ahead of Broja in the west Londoners’ attacking pecking order.
That will be a concern for the returning Broja as he became accustomed to regular action during his time at Southampton, where he made 38 appearances and found the back of the net nine times in the process.
He would be likely to have more opportunities to impress at West Ham, where Michail Antonio is the only senior striker, so it could be argued a switch to the London Stadium would be attractive.
