West Ham United will welcome Tottenham Hotspur at the London Stadium as both sides look to get the better of each other in the London derby. The Hammers managed to pick up a 3-0 win against Genk in midweek which will keep him in high spirits going into this crucial clash at home. In contrast, Spurs suffered a disappointing 1-0 defeat away at Vitesse earlier this week, so they will be eager to right the wrongs in this highly-anticipated London derby.

Talking Tactics

David Moyes will set his team up in a 4-2-3-1 formation and could ask his players to enjoy more of the ball and engineer some decent chances in the attacking third of the field. A lot of their offensive plays will go through Michail Antonio, who will lead the line for the Hammers up top.

Nuno Espirito Santo will also opt for a 4-2-3-1 set up and will ask his men to sit deep to try and catch the home team off-guard on the counter. Both Harry Kane and Heung-min Son will have to carry most of the goal-scoring workload for Spurs up top.

Tottenham Hotspur

Matt Doherty and Ryan Sessegnon will definitely miss this Sunday’s clash at East London. However, Nuno Espirito Santo should still have a strong squad available for selection for this game.

Tottenham Hotspur Predicted XI

Lloris, Emerson, Romero, Dier, Reguilon, Hojbjerg, Skipp, Moura, Ndombele, Son, Kane

Key Men

West Ham United

The performance of Declan Rice and Tomas Soucek in the Hammers midfield could very well end up determining the fate of this contest. In attack, Michail Antonio will have to figure out a way to produce an influential display in the final third.

Tottenham Hotspur

Hugo Lloris can expect to have a busy afternoon as he will have to face an in-form West Ham attack this weekend. As mentioned earlier, Son and Kane will be the North London outfit’s best hope for a goal in this derby.
