West Ham United host Burnley in Sunday’s Premier League encounter at the London Stadium.

The Hammers are currently six points adrift of fourth-placed Tottenham Hotspur, who have a game in hand. Their Champions League qualification hopes are fading through the league, but they can still achieve it by lifting the Europa League title.

Elsewhere, the Clarets are facing the prospect of relegation after six years in the top-flight. They are currently four points adrift of 17th-placed Everton with eight games to play. This has seen them take the drastic step of parting ways with Sean Dyche.

West Ham United vs Burnley alongside other league games will be available to watch live on TV in the United Kingdom. You can also review these Premier League live streaming options.

Match Preview

West Ham United

The Hammers have been inconsistent in the Premier League, picking up just six points from the previous five games. However, they are still in the mix for Europe, lying in the sixth position.

Meanwhile, the east London outfit have put themselves in a good position of winning the Europa League after their stunning 4-1 quarter-final aggregate win over Lyon. They won 3-0 on the road in midweek.

This should give them plenty of confidence ahead of the Clarets clash. David Moyes’ side don’t have the best of records against the Clarets, but have won two of the last three meetings.

Burnley

The Clarets still have a realistic chance of beating the drop, but last weekend’s 2-0 loss to Norwich City was costly, considering Everton were able to beat Manchester United at home.

This has increased the gap to four points. The Clarets must return to winning ways at the earliest to keep up with Everton. There could be a response this weekend after the surprise departure of Dyche.

Dyche has been instrumental in keeping the Lancashire outfit in the top-flight, but the hierarchy believed the change was essential. It remains to be seen whether they can turn around their fortunes.

The Clarets have picked up just three points from the last six games which is barely sufficient.

Team News

West Ham United

Angelo Ogbonna has been ruled out for the campaign following a knee surgery. Kurt Zouma could miss the season run-in, having picked up a worrying ankle problem during the 2-0 defeat to Brentford last weekend. He was absent in midweek.

Burnley

The Clarets are without Johann Berg Gudmundsson for the long-term with a calf injury. Club captain Ben Mee (calf) and Erik Pieters (calf) are also set to miss out, but the former has been confirmed to be part of the coaching staff this weekend.

Predicted Line-ups

West Ham United (4-2-3-1): Lukasz Fabianski; Vladimir Coufal, Craig Dawson, Issa Diop, Aaron Cresswell; Tomas Soucek, Declan Rice; Jarrod Bowen, Manuel Lanzini, Pablo Fornals; Michail Antonio.

Burnley (4-4-2): Nick Pope; Matthew Lowton, Nathan Collins, James Tarkowski, Charlie Taylor; Maxwel Cornet, Aaron Westwood, Josh Brownhill, Dwight McNeil; Jay Rodriguez, Wout Weghorst.

West Ham United vs Burnley Prediction

Burnley are bound to play with a low-block with the occasional counter-attack. The Hammers won’t have it easy against them, but they should be up for the challenge after a statement 3-0 away win over Lyon in the Europa League on Thursday night.

West Ham United 2-0 Burnley
