In a recent report, The Mirror claimed that West Ham United are keeping tabs on FC Copenhagen forward Jonas Wind. It is believed that the Hammers are eyeing a move for the Danish striker, who is rated at £11.5m.

Wind’s Decent Numbers In Danish Football This Season

The 22-year-old is having another decent campaign in Danish football and has been responsible for performing at a high level as the focal point of Copenhagen’s attack. Wind has been involved in 26 matches for his current club this season, netting ten goals and grabbing six assists across all competitions.

The Danish sensation has already begun to show some glimpses of his true potential. Hence, it is not a surprise that the Hammers are keeping a keen eye on him as they are in dire need of a new centre-forward who can push Michail Antonio for a regular starting spot at the London Stadium.

What Will Wind Bring To The London Stadium?

Standing at 1.90m, Wind is a towering presence inside the opposition penalty box and can win his fair share of aerial duels up top. He is a good header of the ball and can use his strength to hold possession up for his teammates in the final third.

The 12-time Denmark international has scored and created a lot of goals for Copenhagen over the past 18 months. He has even got a good work rate which makes him an ideal fit for David Moyes’ brand of football at West Ham United.

At 22, the future is quite promising for Wind as long as he continues to take strides towards improving himself with each season. We can expect him to bring a lot of physicality and some goals to Moyes‘ frontline. More importantly, he will offer some much-needed cover for Antonio at the East London club. Therefore, Moyes should think about launching a move to bring him to the English capital during the January transfer window.
