According to Chronicle Live, West Ham United are hoping to land Viktor Tsyhankov from Dynamo Kyiv in the winter transfer window as they look to add more strength to their attacking prowess. It is understood that the Hammers certainly require more firepower to stand a chance at securing a mid-table finish as they find themselves in the relegation places. However, the Ukraine international is garnering a lot of attention with Newcastle United, Borussia Dortmund and Wolves showing keen interest.
Tsyhankov began his career with Nyva Vinnytsia following his arrival at the youth academy of Dynamo Kyiv a year later. He showed great potential and climbed up the ranks through their youth setup eventually breaking into their senior side as a teenager.
The young forward has had a solid campaign with the Ukrainian outfit and since then as he has produced some impressive displays in the attacking third of the field over the years. He has scored 87 goals and created 60 assists over 220 appearances for his side across all competitions.

The Israel-bornt talent has also performed consistently last season as he found the back of the net on 11 occasions in the Ukrainian Premier League. Furthermore, he has also acquired 40 senior international caps to add to his experience.
Tsyhankov has the potential to become even better and can significantly add to West Ham’s attacking department as he has the ability to make some decisive passes, splitting the opposition backline. He excels at getting out of tight spaces and creating space for himself while netting the oddball to find the back of the net on a couple of occasions.
However, the 24-year-old would require guaranteed first-team football at this point of his career and that would be difficult for David Moyes to promise as there is heavy competition in the frontline and Jarrod Bowen remains the first choice at the right-wing position. Even though the Ukrainian forward remains highly versatile, being able to play from the central areas of the field and down the right flank, his preferred position would remain out of contention.
The Hammers will have to pay a huge fee to Dynamo Kyiv if they wish to acquire his services and with the Magpies, in the competition, it seems unlikely for the East London club to put up with the fight financially. Thus, West Ham should explore other options as well.
