West Ham United have announced the news that Australian international midfielder Tameka Yallop has left the club by mutual consent.

The Hammers made the announcement this morning via a post on their official club website.

Yallop joined West Ham United from Australian A-League club Brisbane Roar last summer. The midfielder went on to make 16 appearances in the Barclays Women’s Super League last season, scoring one goal as West Ham United recorded their highest-ever league finish. Yallop also helped The Hammers to reach the semi-finals of the Vitality Women’s FA Cup.

The 31-year-old is much-travelled with Yallop having represented 10 different clubs in her 14-year senior playing career. The midfielder has played for clubs in her native Australia, Canada, the United States, Germany, Japan, Sweden, Norway and England so far and you wouldn’t rule out Yallop testing herself in another footballing culture in the future. At this stage, there is no indication of where the player’s next career move will be.

Yallop has become the seventh player to leave West Ham United so far this summer. She joins Gilly Flaherty, Zaneta Wyne, Lois Joel, Anna Leat, Katerina Svitková, Emily Moore and Adriana Leon on the exit list at The Chigwell Construction Stadium.
