In a recent report, SportBILD claimed that West Ham United are keen on signing Stuttgart ace Serhou Guirassy. It has been stated that the Hammers are eyeing a move to secure the services of the Guinean forward but will face competition from Manchester United in pursuit of him in the upcoming transfer window.

Guirassy’s Impressive Form In Bundesliga This Season

The 28-year-old is having a fine campaign at the German club after putting in several productive displays as the focal point of their attack. Guirassy has banged in 27 goals and picked up two assists in 25 matches for Stuttgart this season across multiple competitions.

The Arles-born talent has given a good account of himself as he is averaging 3.2 shots, 1.7 key passes and 0.6 dribbles per 90 minutes in Bundesliga. He has also been decent when linking up play with others around him in the final third based on his pass completion rate of 80.6% in the German top tier (stats via whoscored).

His current contract at the German club will run out in the summer of 2026 which could make it tough for West Ham to sign him on a cut-price deal later this year.

Should West Ham United Boss David Moyes Snap Guirassy Up This Summer?

Guirassy can create some space for himself to get some strikes in at goal. He is a decent finisher in the final third and can create some good opportunities for his teammates to find the back of the net. The Guinean sensation is usually quite clever with his movements in and around the opponent’s penalty box. However, he has still not proven his worth at the highest level.

Guirassy will no doubt bring plenty of firepower to West Ham boss David Moyes’ frontline. He has what it takes to rival Michail Antonio for a regular starting spot at the East London club next season.

At 28, Guirassy has entered his prime which makes him a worthy option for the Hammers to pursue in the summer transfer period. However, the Guinea international might need some time to cope with the physical side and high intensity of Premier League football if West Ham can find a way to win the race for his services.
