In a recent report, Fichajes mentioned that West Ham United are keen on signing Barcelona winger Raphinha. It has been stated that the Hammers are locked in a three-way battle with Arsenal and Liverpool in the race to land the Brazilian wide player in the summer.

Raphinha’s Impressive Form In Spanish Football

Raphinha is having a decent campaign at the Nou Camp after putting in a string of productive displays on the right side of Xavi’s attack. The Brazilian sensation has banged in four goals and secured seven assists in 22 matches for Barca this season across all fronts.

The 27-year-old has proven his worth in the final third as he is averaging 2.1 shots, 1.5 key passes and 0.9 dribbles per 90 minutes in La Liga. He has even been accurate when distributing the ball from the flanks based on his pass completion rate of 80.1% in top-flight football (stats via whoscored).

His current contract at the Catalan club will expire in the summer of 2027. Thus, West Ham would have to make a convincing offer if they want to recruit Raphinha in the summer.

Is Raphinha A Dream Option For West Ham United?

Raphinha is a decent dribbler with the ball at his feet and has got the vision to engineer a few promising chances for his teammates in the final third. He can even strike the ball with venom from long range. The Brazilian sensation is primarily a right-winger but can also play as a left-sided wide player if asked to do so. However, he needs to figure out a way to be more lethal in front of the opponent’s goal.

We can expect Raphinha to bring more firepower to West Ham boss David Moyes’ attack. He has what it takes to earn a regular starting spot at the London Stadium next season. At 27, Raphinha is about to enter his prime soon which makes him a dream option for the Hammers to consider in the summer.

The Brazilian wing wizard already knows the Premier League well from his time at Leeds United and won’t take much time to settle into life at the East London club if Moyes can devise a way to bring him on board at the end of this campaign.
