West Ham United have announced the news that Paul Konchesky has left his position as first team manager.

The Hammers made the announcement via a post on their official club website this morning.

Konchesky has been in the role for the last 12 months. He stepped up from assistant manager to manager at the end of last season after former boss Olli Harder announced his departure.

During the first half of this season, West Ham United were one of the most improved sides in the Barclays Women’s Super League, however, their form nosedived during the last four months of the campaign. The Hammers ended the season with just one win in 12 matches in all competitions.

After his departure was announced, Konchesky said “I am proud and honoured to have had the opportunity to manage this Club. My players and my staff have always given me 100 percent and while some of our results have been disappointing this season, we still have a lot to be proud of, including reaching the semi-finals of the Conti Cup. I wish the Club well for the future.”

West Ham United ended the 2022/2023 season with a 2-2 draw against Tottenham Hotspur at The Chigwell Construction Stadium on Saturday.
