West Ham United and Everton are both interested in recruiting the services of Stade de Reims striker Adama Bojang, according to the Guardian journalist Ed Aarons.
West Ham have brought Callum Wilson to the London Stadium club this summer, while Thierno Barry has moved to the Hill Dickinson Stadium to replace Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
However, the Toffees and Hammers still want to bolster their attacking options, and the 21-year-old Gambian is on their radar.
Bojang was on loan at Grasshopper Zurich last season and is expected to cost around €5 million.
A move to join either Everton or West Ham would appeal to him, and more Premier League suitors could emerge for his services given his huge potential.
Renowned football agent Sascha Empacher, who discovered Liverpool star Mohamed Salah, believes the Gambian has the potential to shine in the English top-flight and become one of the best in the world.
“Adama is the best African player I’ve seen in the last ten years,” he told Sky Sports.
“He can become one of the greatest African strikers. In the same league as (Didier) Drogba, (Samuel) Eto’o, Salah, and (Victor) Osimhen.”
Bojang has been on the radar of Premier League clubs since 2023 after impressing at the under-20 World Cup that year.
Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea, Crystal Palace, Liverpool, Newcastle United, Tottenham Hotspur and Wolverhampton Wanderers were all linked with the youngster at the time.
Bojang bagged six goals and two assists in his last 13 games last term having gone without a goal contribution in his first 14 appearances, and the 6ft 3in striker could be a hit in England in the future.
He has proven himself at youth level and had a decent season in the Swiss Super League, but a switch to the Premier League could come too early for him.
Everton and West Ham will not be offering him regular playing opportunities right now and he may need to move to a league and club where his development can continue for now.
