West Ham United will have to pay more than £27million if they want to sign Sevilla striker Youssef En-Nesyri, according to reports.

En-Nesyri joined Sevilla from Leganes in January 2020 and has since established himself as one of the best all-round strikers in La Liga.

Well known for his energy and aerial ability, the Moroccan international scored 18 goals last season and has two in as many appearances to start 2023/24.

The 26-year-old has been linked with Newcastle United and Arsenal in the past, though it is West Ham who are now believed to be eyeing up a move.

This is according to Spanish outlet Mucho Deporte, who claims the Hammers have an ‘eternal interest’ in En-Nesyri.

The report says talk of a transfer has gone quiet in recent weeks but there is activity behind the scenes with West Ham ‘persisting’ with the Sevilla ‘battering ram’.

En-Nesyri is not ‘particularly seduced’ by the prospect of joining the Irons and has ‘rejected’ their approach, while the Spanish side also turned down a bid in the region of £27m.

Sevilla see the player as ‘a very important asset’ but a sale is not ruled out. It is claimed ‘there will be numerous changes to the Sevilla roster between now and the close of the summer transfer market’.

Over at talkSPORT, it is said that West Ham have ‘revived their interest’ in the Morocco striker.

Meanwhile, RMC Sport says David Moyes’ side are also keeping tabs on Hugo Ekitike’s situation at Paris Saint-Germain.

Ekitike attracted interest from a host of European clubs, including Newcastle United, before landing at PSG on an initial loan that has now been made permanent for around £24m.

The 21-year-old had a dismal debut season in the French capital and has been linked with a move to Newcastle once again, while West Ham, Everton and Nottingham Forest are also believed to be keen.

According to the RMC Sport report, the Hammers are looking to take advantage of Ekitike’s uncertain future at PSG, though it is said Eintracht Frankfurt, Lyon and AC Milan have joined the transfer race.
