West Ham United close in on Ibrahim Osman

According to the Daily Mail, West Ham are prepared to let the 28-year-old depart, with Fulham and Lyon both interested.

After an excellent start to the 2023/24 season, Moyes is looking to strengthen again, and Nordsjaelland winger Ibrahim Osman has emerged as an option.

According to Sky Sports, talks are now advancing between the two clubs, with a fee rumoured to be in the region of £15million. If a deal is concluded, Sunderland, Plymouth Argyle, and Norwich City will breathe a sigh of relief.

West Ham United could end interest in Sunderland's Jack Clarke

Sunderland winger Jack Clarke has been the centre of transfer interest over the past two windows.

The Hammers, along with Brentford, are reportedly keen on the 23-year-old winger.

According to Football Insider, the Premier League duo are interested, although it's unlikely either would meet the Black Cats' £20 million valuation during the January window.

With West Ham now heading elsewhere, it looks more likely that Clarke will remain at the Stadium of Light until the summer at the very least.

However, if Michael Beale's side fail to secure promotion, it will be difficult to keep hold of the former Tottenham man. The Black Cats currently sit tenth in the Championship table, three points adrift of Coventry, who occupy the final playoff berth.

Sunderland need to make progress when it comes to Clarke's current contract status. The 23-year-old's deal runs until 2026, however, the Sunderland Echo claim talks are at an "impasse" amid current transfer speculation.

Even if he stays this month, speculation is only likely to intensify in the summer.

Plymouth Argyle and Norwich City stars could remain amid West Ham United transfer twist

Plymouth and Norwich will be pleased to hear of West Ham's impending transfer agreement with Nordsjaelland.

Argyle have been heavily reliant on Morgan Whittaker's goals and assists during the 2023/24 season, and, unsurprisingly, the 15-goal attacker has been linked with a move to the London Stadium.

According to Football Insider, the Hammers, along with Fulham and Brentford, are eyeing Whittaker.

However, with the former Swansea youngster contracted until the summer of 2027, Argyle are in a strong position when it comes to their star man - and with West Ham's attention heading elsewhere, they will feel confident of holding onto Whittaker until the summer.

The same can be said for Norwich City and Jon Rowe, with the 20-year-old winger on the Irons' radar, as per the Evening Standard. Rowe's 12 goals and two assists have helped revive Norwich's campaign and the young attacker is a player David Wagner can ill afford to lose.

West Ham's attention moving onto Osman is good news, but with Rowe out of contract in the summer of 2025, Ben Knapper and the board have to make contract talks with the 20-year-old a priority.

All three Championship clubs can breathe a sigh of relief as Osman's move to the London Stadium edges closer but that relief is only short-term because the summer window will bring fresh interest.
