West Ham reveal Declan Rice replacement as captain

David Moyes has named defender Kurt Zouma as his West Ham captain for the season.

The Hammers needed a permanent skipper following the departure of Declan Rice for Arsenal during the summer.

And Zouma, who has worn the armband in each of their games so far this season, is the man who will take on the role.

“Kurt will continue as captain,” Moyes told the media ahead of his side’s clash with Manchester City.

“He’s done a good job. We’ve won three and drawn one so he will continue in the role.”

The Scotsman did consult the squad regarding the decision, which is a popular one within the dressing room.
