West Ham manager David Moyes is unlikely to drop Jarrod Bowen “any time soon”, says journalist Paul Brown.

The forward has struggled for form so far this season, but Brown is not expecting him to be taken out of the Hammers’ side.

What are Bowen’s stats?

Bowen has played in all seven of West Ham’s Premier League fixtures; however, he has not been able to score or assist in any of them.

The 25-year-old, though, has at least been able to register in the east London club’s Europa Conference League campaign, netting against FCSB and Viborg FF.

Still, having come up with over 20 goal contributions in the English top flight last season, Moyes will want way more than that.

Despite his lack of form at the London Stadium so far this term, Bowen was still included in Gareth Southgate’s England squad for the UEFA Nations League.

What has Brown said about Bowen?

Brown does not think Moyes will drop Bowen and believes the West Ham manager needs him right now as he slowly embeds the club’s new signings.

Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, the journalist said: “I think, really, he needs to rely on the players that he knows are consistent and can do it.

“He’s more of a manager who likes to bring in the rest quite slowly, when they’ve got used to the system and the team and the league. So I don’t think it’s likely he will be dropping people like Jarrod Bowen any time soon.”

Should Moyes drop Bowen?

It is still quite early in the season, so it is probably not something Moyes has to do just yet.

As well as that, given Bowen’s quality, chances are that the £96,000-a-week England international will come good soon.

In the previous campaign, he scored 18 times in all competitions for the Hammers – the most in Moyes’ squad – so he is the biggest goal threat they have.

Do you know this obscure player West Ham signed in the January transfer window?

West Ham as a whole have not been playing well this term, so Bowen certainly deserves some leeway. So far, they have taken just four points from seven games and have only been able to win one match. As a result, they currently sit in the relegation zone.

Once Moyes gets the team up and running again, it should make it easier for Bowen to perform.

Ultimately, while Bowen is not delivering the goods right now for West Ham, he is not someone you should drop after one bad patch of form.
