Once one of the best players in LaLiga, Atlético Madrid winger Vitolo is now 31 and clearly not the player he once was.
He’s made just 12 appearances in all competitions this season, featuring for a total of just under 400 minutes.
With one year left on the five-year deal he signed when he joined from Sevilla, Diego Simeone’s side is reportedly moving on from the player and looking to get around €10m (£8.4m).
According to Spanish outlet Fichajes, West Ham have been interested since the January window and could attempt to bring the player in this summer.
West Ham reportedly were keen on doing a deal for Vitolo but ended up landing Jesse Lingard on loan.
It’s expected that West Ham will move in for the player even if the Hammers bring in Lingard on a permanent deal.
