L’Équipe are reporting that West Ham United are amongst the Premier League sides interested in AS Monaco midfielder Youssouf Fofana (24).
Fofana, who this season became a France international and figured in Les Bleus’ World Cup campaign in Qatar, is expected to leave Monaco this summer. The former Strasbourg midfielder was reportedly coveted by Paris Saint-Germain, but their interest has recently cooled, according to Nice-Matin.
With just one year remaining on his deal, Monaco reportedly believe that now is the right time to cash in on Fofana, as well as Axel Disasi, who has been strongly linked with a move to Manchester United. West Ham, who will play in the Europa League next season, having won the Europa Conference League this season, have made the first steps towards signing the midfielder, who is also of interest to other Premier League clubs, as well as Inter Milan. Fofana is considering his future.
RMC Sport have added AS Roma to the list of interested parties, and are reporting that Monaco are wanting a minimum of €35m to part ways with their influential midfielder.
