West Ham United are in advanced discussions with Callum Wilson’s representatives over a deal to bring the veteran striker to east London on a free transfer, according to Sky Sports News.

Wilson, 33, is currently a free agent after leaving Newcastle United earlier this summer following the expiration of his contract. The Hammers have moved quickly to open talks as they look to add proven Premier League experience to their attacking line ahead of the 2025/26 season.

The former Bournemouth and Newcastle forward scored 47 Premier League goals during his five-year spell on Tyneside. Known for his intelligent movement and clinical finishing, Wilson remains a dangerous option when fit, though his recent seasons have been marred by injury setbacks.

With no transfer fee required, the move presents a relatively low-risk opportunity for West Ham, while Wilson is believed to be keen on continuing his Premier League career.

If an agreement can be reached in the coming days, Wilson could join up with Graham Potter's squad before the final stretch of pre-season.
