West Ham United are reportedly the team in pole position to seal the transfer of Sevilla striker Youssef En-Nesyri this summer.

The Hammers are being strongly tipped to win the race for En-Nesyri’s signature in a report from La Razon, who add that his sale could help Sevilla keep hold of fellow star player Jules Kounde.

Kounde is emerging as one of the most promising young defenders in Europe at the moment, and his fine form in La Liga has seen him linked as one of a number of centre-back targets for Manchester United this summer, as per Eurosport.

If West Ham do end up signing En-Nesyri, it would not only be a fine signing for David Moyes’ side, but it could majorly get in the way of Man Utd’s plans if it means Kounde becomes harder to obtain.

The Red Devils could do well to try stepping up their interest in Kounde now in order to avoid that happening, but Eurosport also linked them with a number of other central defenders.

Kounde would undoubtedly be a fine option for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side, but they may also feel there are other very decent alternatives out there.
