The Hammers are keen on bolstering their attacking options and have the Belgian winger on their shortlist.

Milan want €20 million for Saelemaekers following his successful loan spell at Bologna last term.

The 25-year-old was crucial in helping Bologna secure Champions League football for the first time since 1964/65, bagging four goals and two assists in 30 Serie A appearances.

He flourished on Bologna’s left flank, causing a major threat with his ability to cut inside or go outside. His versatility was also a key asset.

Saelemaekers’ performances have attracted interest from Juventus and the Premier League, where he has a host of suitors.

Nottingham Forest, Ipswich Town and Leicester City are also keen on bringing him to England, and the hardworking attacker is open to the change of scenery.

While he impressed at Bologna, a single strong loan season doesn’t guarantee success in a more demanding league.

Four goals in 30 Serie A appearances is unimpressive and his productivity isn’t top-tier.

In this price range, West Ham could find a more established winger who offers a more consistent goal threat.
