West Ham piled more misery on Manchester United on Saturday afternoon after picking up an impressive 2-0 win at the London Stadium.
Jarrod Bowen broke the deadlock in the 72nd minute with his 11th goal of the season, before Mohammed Kudus sealed all three points moments later with his side’s second of the day.
The Ghanaian international said it was the “perfect day” for the Hammers as they leapfrogged Man United in the Premier League table ahead of Christmas Day.

“As an attacker that’s what I’m here to do, to put the ball into the back of the net,” Kudus told TNT Sports after the final whistle.
“Most importantly we got the three points. This is the perfect day for the fans and we wish them a happy Christmas.”
The 23-year-old heaped praise on Lucas Paqueta, who provided a brilliant lofted pass for the opening goal and the assist for the second.
“His vision and passing ability, when he gets the ball I just need to run and he’ll find me. I admire a lot from him,” he said.
Kudus celebrated his goal in trademark fashion by sitting on the advertising hoardings, but explained that there is no meaning behind his celebration.
“It doesn’t mean anything,” he revealed. “I’m sitting down to get a deep breath! I’m tired.”
West Ham travel to the north side of London for their next Premier League tie where they will take on Arsenal next Thursday, 28 December.
