Celtic have now responded to West Ham United’s bid for striker Daniel Cummings, leaving the Hammers ‘considering an improved offer’, according to Sky Sports News.
Cummings is out of contract at Celtic in the summer and West Ham have agreed a pre-contractual agreement with him.
The Hammers though want Cummings to make the move now, rather than wait, and offered £500,000 to Celtic for him at the weekend.
It is suggested if Celtic lose him in the summer then the compensation fee would be £350,000.
Celtic though do not want to lose Cummings and have rejected West Ham’s offer for the attacker.
Talks are still going on though and West Ham are considering putting in an improved offer.
They want to take the 18-year-old south of the border today.
It is unclear just how much West Ham might have to offer Celtic to sign Cummings.
