West Ham have confirmed that Kurt Zouma has suffered a ‘hamstring tendon injury’ which could keep him out of the side for at least six weeks.
Zouma limped off during Saturday’s 3-2 defeat against Chelsea after pulling up in a duel with Romelu Lukaku.
The injury comes as a huge blow to the 27-year-old who was beginning to establish himself as a key figure for the Hammers.
Ben Johnson has also started rehabilitation after suffering a low-grade hamstring strain during the win against their London rivals, joining Angelo Ogbonna on the treatment table.
